We choose our products to be as natural and organic as possible, so that they are not only kind to your dog, they’re kind to the planet too. Where possible, we choose British suppliers to keep supply chains to a minimum and to ensure you get a quality product. When it comes to our sustainable products here are just a few of our favourites:
Tasty treats
If you’re pup has worked up and a-paw-tite, then our plant-based, hypoallergenic Apawtiser Treat Bags are just the thing as a tasty reward. Alternatively, if your pooch is more of a pescatarian, then Goodchaps treats could well be for you – full of natural goodness with no nasties. All are made from natural ingredients sourced and manufactured in the UK and packaged in compostable packaging.
Scoop the poop
When it comes to cleaning up after your dog, it’s good to know that there is a sustainable solution to the traditional plastic poop bags. We love the compostable ones from Beco, as they are not only thick and strong, they are also made from cornstarch that makes them completely break down in no time at all.
Dinner time
It’s all in the name when it comes to our sustainable dog food – Eco Conscious Food For Dogs from Beco reads like a gourmet restaurant menu. All of the ingredients are human grade, ethically sourced and packed with freshly prepared meat, fish and vegetables, including superfoods and probiotics. Home and dry
Our range of drying coats from Ruff and Tumble are made from natural fibres, and a brilliant and keeping your dog dry and warm after a wet walk. The may be a little more expensive that other brands on the market but they are made from 100% cotton and we believe that buying better is kinder to the planet as they last longer and so there’s less waste.
Playtime
Who doesn’t love playtime with their dog? It’s so valuable to keep your dog entertained both and home and when you’re out and about. Gone are the days of plastic toys, here at Slickers we have searched extensively to ensure that all of our toys are made from either recycled plastic or natural digestible fibres such as jute, hemp and cotton.
Fresh and clean
Our own-brand shampoos and conditioners are made in the UK specifically for dogs from essential oils which makes them kind to canine skin and the earth. All of our products our concentrated so that need to less packaging and the bottles are recyclable too. We also stock organic B-Balm which has all natural ingredients as well as supporting British beekeepers.
